Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charge of those responsible.

We’ve launched a new campaign across the Royal Borough of Greenwich appealing for information from people about offensive graffiti appearing in neighbourhoods across the borough.

The campaign looks to send a clear message that graffiti of any kind is an offence of criminal damage, and perpetrators can be prosecuted.

Importantly, racist graffiti is also classed as a hate crime, which is a serious offence and will not be tolerated.

These incidents have been ongoing for some time, and are believed to be the work of a single perpetrator, who is affiliating themselves with a right-wing group and often uses the tagNF. Graffiti is targeted on street furniture, public walls and residential fencing in the South of the borough. Incidents have been concentrated around roads and streets leading up to and around the A2, including public underpasses.

Although these may seem like small incidents to some, racist graffiti and sentiment can have a devastating effect on individuals and communities.

It’s also important to keep in mind that some hate crimes start as smaller incidents, which may escalate into more serious and frequent attacks.

Complete peace of mind
